Tuition and Classes in the Fine Art of Throwing
I am sorry, but I can not take in any new customers at present.
I already have a backlog of existing customers who are all keen to resume after the lockdown.
If so, I can help.
I run a small pottery studio equipped with two electric wheels, two kilns, a wide selection of glazes, and all the other equipment and materials necessary to make attractive stoneware pottery.
I can provide patient step-by-step tuition in the traditional skills and techniques required for making beautiful bowls. Either for one or two students at a time. Available both daytime and evenings. The classes are suitable for beginners and intermediates.
Suitable for absolute beginners. I like to make it fun, relaxed and friendly.
See the Gallery page for some examples of what you could make
My studio is based in Cromwell Road, North Central Bristol (BS6) close to the Arches, Montpelier Station, and the Gloucester Road.
Please call Andrew on 07817 509 452 (mobile) or 01179 425 396 (home) to book a lesson
Students will, once all the process is complete, be able to take away and enjoy the finished pieces which will be hard wearing, dishwasher proof and food safe.
2 hours for one student £20
Bring a friend , 2 hours for 2 students £30
(There is also a charge of £5 per kilo on finished items - approximately £2.50 for each average sized bowl - This is to help cover the cost of materials and electricity)
Please note that I will now only accept bookings for a minimum of two classes.
Lesson times are flexible. Daytime or evening. Tuesday to Thursday, plus Friday mornings.
I do not teach on Saturdays or Mondays
Normal time slots are 11am to 1pm, 2pm to 4pm, or 6pm to 8pm
